The time it takes to train a dog depends on a variety of factors, including the dog's age, breed, temperament, and the type of training involved. On average, it can take several weeks to several months to fully train a dog, on average 30+ hours for basic training, but the biggest secret when it comes to training a dog is the owners participation. If the owner is taught the skills needed to train there dog while the trainer is there and then spends the rest of the week working with their dog without a trainer, this will save both time and money.
We use a combination of possitive training and corrective training utilizing both food/toy treats and training collars.
Yes, we offer in-home training sessions for clients who prefer to train their dogs in their own environment. This can be especially helpful for dogs who have difficulty adjusting to new surroundings or who have behavior issues that are specific to their home environment.
